The terrain avoidance feature is NOT intended to be used as a primary reference for terrain avoidance and does not relieve the pilot from the responsibility of being aware of surroundings during flight.

Add page 42 to Favourites. In some circumstances, both GPS receivers may be providing accurate data, but one receiver may be providing a better GPS solution than the other receiver. Both GPS receivers are still functioning properly, but one receiver is performing better than the other at that particular time. While the aircraft is on the ground, the SBAS signal may be blocked by obstructions causing one GPS receiver to have difficulty acquiring a good signal.

The system uses Secure Digital SD cards to load and store various types of data. For basic flight operations, SD cards are required for database storage as well as Jeppesen navigation and ChartView database updates.
Not all SD cards are compatible with the G Use only SD cards supplied by Garmin or the aircraft manufacturer. Otherwise, data corruption can occur. Go to FlyGarmin. The ChartView database is updated on a day cycle. If the ChartView database is not updated within 70 days of the expiration date, ChartView will no longer function.

Messages generated while the window is open are not automatically displayed, but cause the MSG Softkey to begin flashing again. Critical values generated by redundant sensors are monitored by comparators. These annunciations reflect reversionary sensors selected on one or both PFDs. These softkeys allow switching of the sensors being viewed on each PFD.
